Trevor describes his work as "intuitive pop" imagery, due to the styles of impressionism and expressionism blending with the subject matters and perspectives from popular culture. Frequently he uses a process method, layering color and line through dozens of stages until the final image is complete.
He views art as a means to communicate small amounts of beauty and positive vision for life to present day culture, which is heavily weighed down with the issues of war, disease, poverty, discrimination, as well as a general lack of the most basic kindnesses. Trevor's goal is to remind viewers of his work that there is grace to be had in their everyday lives.
